The Map component window contains the main map image, the floating/dockable locator map image, and cursor coordinate display.
The user dynamically interacts with the map by zooming in and out to request images and to perform actions like identify and spatial queries.
Whenever a map request is made, the "Generating Map" image depicted below will be displayed.

Locator Map
|
The locator map is displayed on top of the main map. It can be toggled on/off in the toolbar or docked to any corner of the
map image by clicking on one of the four triangle images on the locator map border.
The locator map can also be positioned anywhere within the map frame by clicking on the border of the locator map and dragging
it to a new position.
Clicking on the locator map itself will reposition the
main map to that location preserving the same extent and scale.

| Cursor Coordinates |
Coordinate values appear dynamically as you move the
mouse over the map. These will depend on the zoom level, image size,
and the map units. These coordinates are a rough estimation of actual
map coordinates based on generalized information. They should not
be treated as exact coordinate values. The accuracy improves as
you zoom in, and will be better on computers with higher video screen
resolution.

| Pan Arrows |
Clicking on any of the 8 different pan arrows will cause the map image to move in that direction.
The map will pan about 1/2 the current extent in the desired direction.
